Nice mission and a decent size gift shop. Peace a local history. Inside of the church there is some spooky art work but it is a nice tranquil place.

We went there today and was very pleasantly surprised. So much to see, it just keeps going and going. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. This is the nicest mission that we've seen. Definitely recommended.

Carmel is one of the best missions to visit to learn about the role the missions played in California's history. The architecture is distinctive, the gardens and courtyard lovely and the Father Serra information valuable. It's also an active church.

We stopped here on a road trip to Monterey, and I thought it was a. It pricey to get in and the gift shop. We loved the beautiful old church and the mission museum.

Call and ask 831-624-1271. If you see a tour bus in the parking lot, I would suggest come back at another time.
