Beach is great and we saw humpback whale right in front of the beach. I could not believe how close they are. The campsite is okay. Clean but the sites are so close to each other and it is very open and close to the...More

I have been camping here for thirty years and love this place, has everything you need. A short walk down to the beach is a plus. They added bear boxes to the sites so that comes in handy due to the raccoons.

This is a review of New Brighton Campground. As we went during the winter, we didn't go to the beach at all, so I won't comment on that. The campground is decent, nice grass to set our tent on which was soft, but also pretty...More

New Brighton State Beach has limited parking and stairs down to the roadway along the sand. The restroom is adequate, but that's all that is available. Families with small children are better off going to nearby Seacliff State Beach or the beach at Capitola village....More

Fabulous Campground, large spaces! I like full hooks up which they have about 20 sites with Electric and Water but no gray water at the site, they do have dump sites on the way out. The bathrooms & showers are maintained very clean and large...More

This is a beach for walking, sitting and staring at the ocean, or watching the dolphins and sea otter frolic. I also recently cycled during negative low tide on this beach. It is with few others, clean and rustic, as a beach should be!

Brought a group out for a half week of camping (MH, trailers and tents). The weather report was predicting rain and winds. We arrived, it was 78 and sunny. It did cloud up some, but only rained during sleeping hours (answer to prayer). When we...More

If you are not camping at the beach camp grounds, I think you can drive to the beach during the day and need to pay only for car parking.
