This was to be my favourite visit; the calm of the Lake of Galilee, the magnificent Mount where Jesus delivered the Beatitudes. I had a lovely moment 8 years previously, when I could sense the Spirit. But this time, I just got trampled on by...More

A pretty domed church & garden area, where Jesus is said to have delivered his sermon on the mount. Lovely views over the Sea of Galilee, with a nice souvenir shop & refreshment stand. You can easily visit alongside Capernaum while you're in the area.

Another site for the pilgrims trail. Found the church and site very restful, peaceful and quiet. Well worth a visit.

We arrived after the church closed so we drove around back and watched Tiberias light up as we read Jesus' sermon. It was pretty amazing. The grounds around the chapel seemed nice but we were very happy with our visit just outside the grounds.
