Niseko was an awesome skiing experience. The powder was great and so where the slopes. While the mountains are not as high as in Europe, the experience was still great. There were only short queues at the lifts etc. Food options were plenty.

Definitely better than Grand Hirafu, but my preference is still Annupuri for its powder and lack of crowds.

For first time skiers like me, niseko village is great! We stayed in Hilton and this resort is basically just right outside the door! Rent of ski gear was easy and the ski lesson was great. We'll definitely come back here.

Great snow! most of the times was snowing. There's some restaurant in The Village or you can go to Hilton or Green Leaf Hotel to have your meals!

Great facility for all levels of skiing. Gondola can be a bit tight if you are tall, but doable. Wide skis can cause difficulty for operators, but they seem to manage with a smile. Good location with skishopand hotel nearby.

IMO, I would stay at a hotel called Ki-Niseko. It is up scale but very convenient, particularly as it sounds like you don't have much time. Unfortunately nothing like Telluride in all of Japan for steeps but at the top of... More
