This is a place every tourist must visit. This place carries Bhutans local culture and the structures are nice to look at. Old but colorful structure.

We enjoyed seeing the architecture of this Buddhist Monastery and fortress. We had a great guide, Tinlay, who explained the meaning behind the giant murals in the hall as you enter this fort as well as its history.

Another great Dzong that deserves a visit. Not my most favorite but still well worth the time and effort. I'm always impressed with the architecture and painted wood work. After your visit you can walk down the hill and cross a very old covered foot bridge.

The dzong is built a bit higher than the Paro City, so it is visible from everywhere. It looks beautiful at night. It has nice & colorful traditional Bhutanese wooden architecture with numerous paintings and murals. There is a nice view of the Paro river, city and the airport from here.
