We enjoyed our tour. The guide was very knowledgable and the groups were small. Provided bonocolars to view birds and sea life. Well organized. Could provide more info why the tour group meets several miles from the destination on their brochure.

This isn't an old lighthouse but it's more accessible than other lighthouses in that you can go inside. The actual light and cupola are missing thanks to earthquakes but lots of photos show the original look. (And the original light is on view on Burton st in Cambria). Some relics from shipwrecks nearby are on view and you can also... More

Nice light station. Disappointed that we could not climb to the top. The first order Fresnel lens is displayed in Cambria. We have been to many light stations world-wide. This is not one of the finest but still worth a look.

We are fortunate enough to be able to travel to Cambria frequently as we have family there. A special treat was taking the tour of the light station with a docent by the name of Paul Kellett, who is there on Tuesdays. He is a gem and really fun to listen to, as he knows and shares the details that... More

This was a very interesting spot. Quite interesting to tour the area and hear the history. The well informed tour guide (O'Neil) made it a real pleasure.

walk out to the light house from the beach... about 2 miles south, with stunning ocean views and grasslands

This is a 2 hour tour. You will meet at the old Piedras Blancas Motel and drive over to the lighthouse as a group. You will still be traveling in your own vehicle. This is a guided walking tour that will include the tower and information on what is was like to live at the lighthouse in 1910. Restoration is... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Piedras Point Lighthouse. The actual lighthouse is just a part of the 2 hour walk around the grounds with a docent explaining all of the flora and wildlife. Also some interesting buildings and of course, the lighthouse. The tour meets up at a deserted motel just up the road from the lighthouse. From there... More

The staging for visiting this attraction was time consuming. It's just your average historic type location, but the visit is highly regulated which makes it a bother. We had the time so we did it, but we're not lighthouse buffs, so...
