Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

This is a really interesting thing to see, and when we were there the geyser was going every 5 minutes or so which was great. There is a really nice picnic area with some games and a petting zoo and it was a lovely place...More

A reasonably priced interesting place. We were lucky that the geyser was erupting every 5 minutes. Sometimes you have to wait 50 minutes. They have nice comfy shaded seats to sit and wait on. It was hot so we didn't stay long, Would be interesting...More

My wife and I went with our 14 year old teenage daughter. A real novelty to see this natural phenomenon. The small educational section is interesting and Caoimhe fed the goats. A nice hour spent there, but agree with the other reviewers- $45 for the...More

The geyser is small but very frequent. Nice museum/exhibit on the premises. A few animals for the younger folks. Well done for a singular attraction. I've waited a lot longer in Yellowstone and on Iceland for essentially the same attraction.

An interesting geological feature but not much else - very authentic. There are a few animals on the property which small children will find interesting.

Love the bamboo lining the entrance to the place. Many farm animals to handle, young and old alike. We had lots of fun being there. The Geyser is cool to watch and it goes off in a timely manner. Almost thought I was in Yellowstonevpark...More

Wasn't expecting what we saw but glad we checked the place out. No hiking required. The geyser goes off frequently although it wasn't quite as high as I thought. No biggie... the place was equipped with picnic supplies so we just grabbed a seat and...More

Fun to visit. Take a picnic, people had a bottle of wine with them. Fainting goats are hysterical, although this visit had signs saying not to scare them. Things to do: feed/pet goats (if you are lucky you'll get to see someone scare them and...More

We got a great price from Groupon which made the visit more enjoyable. Would have felt jilted if we had paid full price.

When traveling with children/teens, you need to consider their tastes in entertainment. Napa Valley is geared toward adults. The Wine Train is fun for adults; but, children may not appreciate the Calif. food/wine served... More
