These falls are spectacular and easily accessible on a well-maintained trail that leads you to the bottom. But no need to go there if you don't want to as they are easily visible from the top. Water fountains are available on the trail down - a very nice feature as the late spring/summer can be quite hot outdoors. The falls... More

We visited on a quiet Monday ($8 a car) so had uninterrupted views of the Falls and also did the loop walk of 1.25 miles which was very relaxed and pleasant - some uphill. Interesting visitor centre for children. And don't forget before you leave to visit Lake Britton which is 1.5 miles inside the park.

Well worth a couple hours and a good place to bring a picnic. The parking lot is at the top of the falls, so if you don't want to hike down you can get a good view just a few steps from your car. The hike down is easy and lets you get close to examine the double falls, i.e.... More

The Falls are amazing! Great hikes, clean bathrooms, beautiful Lake Britton with kayaks and boats for rent. Have to book way in advance if you want cabin or camping.

What a great review and rating. It is gorgeous at the Park, and late spring is the perfect time to get onto the trails or onto the lake. Thank you for visiting. McArthur Burney Falls Interpretive Association More

This is perfect for those that don't or can't hike. Very small amount of walking, beautiful waterfall and park for a picnic. Has a pretty large gift shop with drinks and good. Some Historical features and information.

Thank you for your great rating and review. It is a beautiful waterfall. There are some trails for those that want to go further, and a lake for swimming and boating when it warms up a bit. We hope you can come back soon! McArthur Burney Falls Interpretive Association More

The falls are very pretty and the viewing area is about 150 feet from the parking lot. We did walk down to the viewing area at the bottom which would be tough for a mobility impaired person.

Was visiting Redding for a couple days and decided to visit a couple of state parks. McArthur-Burney was about 1.5 hours away and we decided to visit. It was okay. The main attraction is the Burney Falls, which is a very short hike. If you are looking for short/easy hikes then I would recommend it, if you want something more... More

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, like a lot of neighboring areas, we have suffered some trail damage due to the extremely heavy rains this winter. On the other hand, the falls are full and very beautiful! McArthur Burney Falls Interpretive Association More

Visited first week of April. Dress accordingly, even though it's sunny it's still cold. The walk down to the falls was nice & easy. Not able to walk the whole trail due to it being closed.

Thank you for your review and rating. Like so many other places in the north state this year, the rain has done some trail damage, but the falls are still very accessible and the hike is a nice one. Come back soon! McArthur Burney Falls Interpretive Association More

I made a visit here again in April of 2017 and took a walk through the Falls Loop, which is a walking trail that stretches over and above Burney Falls. Beautiful serene stretch of land that one walks through; terrain is fairly easy to hike up and entire walk will take you 20 minutes or so with a few stops... More
