Everything was very well run and organized and the atmosphere and show were very impressive, and the dramatic Flair and effort put into the show gets the crowd excited and keeps the kids Happy.

The dinner and show were amazing. Worth every penny. We brought our Grandparents from out of state and they loved it. We would definitely come back.

Lots of Fun - food tasty, entertainment great!
Feb 2020
I was visiting my son and his fiance and wanted to take them someplace fun to celebrate his birthday. We have always been interested in the medieval themed dinners and we were thrilled to finally experience one.

I purchased discounted tickets ahead of time through AAA. We were booked for leap day, a Saturday night in February at 6 pm. Although you can pay extra for an experience package that includes flags and cake, I chose to pay only $10 extra for an add-on slice of cake for everyone in our party (3).

Parking is free, although it was congested since an earlier performance was letting out when we arrived. We found the entire check in process to be quick and very organized. At the first check in point, we were given crowns to wear. Ours were black and gold. All staff is in costume and were happy to pose for photos. There was an official photographer taking photos with the king, but we chose to go right to our seats. Based on your crown color, we were brought to a matching section of the arena. We were middle of the arena, on the aisle making it easy to get up if we needed. Everyone sits theater style with one long table in front of you, so getting out around a dozen people could be difficult if you are in the middle. We were very pleased with the location of our seats, which seemed to be randomly determined based on when you checked in and got your crown color.

They have perfected the timing of the event. Food is served throughout the performance. We thought the meal was very tasty and even though we were not given utensils, quite easy to eat. Meal consisted of garlic bread, soup (drink it), half roasted chicken, corn on the cob, herb potato,coffee and beverages. The served ice cream for dessert. Throughout the night, if you had ordered an occasion package, they would put a birthday (etc) greeting on the jumbotron.

The performance throughout the meal was what makes this experience so worthwhile. Each section has a knight that they are encouraged to cheer for. Many folks get flags with their occasion packages to wave and yell with. We used our napkins which worked well, but you could bring something to wave as well. Throughout, there was a lot of audience participation (cheering, booing, clapping, waving) and the entire atmosphere was very festive and very lively.

The performance kept our attention from start to end. There was pageantry, performance, falconry, jousting on horse and battling on the ground, and some lovely dressage performances by the horses.

All in all, lots of fun to watch and cheer on your knight to victory and a good meal as well.

Good place for Kids

The show is good for kids. The food could be better but I know the attraction of this place is the show.

Fun for the family
Feb 2020
We arrived a day early for our Disneyland vacation. This was a great thing to do that evening. The kids really enjoyed it. We had gone to the pirate show the year before and it felt way overcrowded and stuffy (although the show was good) The waiting area was good and plenty of places to sit at Medieval Times. The show seemed a bit drawn out, but still fun. The food was surprisingly decent. Must better than the pirate dinner.

~~~~~ Back To Medieval Time ~~~~~
Feb 2020
We have a lovely fun time at the Medieval dinner & shown at the Buena Park , the shown almost like the * Excalibur in Las Vegas ,Tournament of King * I do hear and read a lot of mixed review of the shown , people have to understand it is a entertainment live house shown ,adapted from the Medieval time 1 girlfriend and I did enjoyed the dinner and the shown, the roast chicken is okay good size , of course there is no utensil it is finger licking good , can not compare a five stars dinning , for sure the kids love it every second , great fun for the family !
You're paying for the experience.
We took our two teens on a Wednesday evening. It was busy but not packed, which was nice. We got a 20% off coupon which helped immensely as just the basic package is pretty pricey. I paid an extra $2 for the museum of torture which allowed pictures and was short and sweet. I think they would be better off just adding on to the dinner price because it's not really worth the extra money. The merch is pretty cool but expensive. Dinner is adequate, but kinda bland. No utensils(which they let you know about when you buy tickets), though they give you an ice cream cup with a wooden spoon. The show is really well done, everyone does a good job staying in character. I do suspect the knight whose color has the more expensive VIP customers wins the actual tournament. The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. The foaming at the mouth is a good thing, and they do use a crop for some tricks. They also use short reins, which can be hard on their necks, but are used to keep the horses in control. One did look like he was still training, so it made sense. Keep in mind drinks are only two rounds, take advantage of the coffee they offer at dessert if you need a drink. All in all we had fun. Not something we will probably do everytime we are in that area though.
Plot had changed in a not nice way
Feb 2020
The food is good for the volume they have to put out, most of the show is good. There has been a change in the jousting since I was there last, and it left me saddened and appalled. The jousts are now 'to the death'. And the Queen asked the crowd if that was OK, but never asked if it was not OK. Huge cheer after asking, so every loosing Knight is killed. Sure they all come back for a bow, but that's after their dead bodies have been gloated over. Bad thing in these times.
Stupendous!
Feb 2020
From beginning to end the experience at Medieval Times is amazing! Your first contact with event staff is wonderful as they are all in costume and use an old englidh accent. All staff must be chosen for their personalities becaused the is not a grump in the bunch. The show is worth its' weight in gold! The costumes, music, action and especially the horses kept us wonderfully entertained and engaged! Please go see this!
