Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This old School house is chock full of all kinds of things from the 1800’s and later. Super friendly people greet you and answer any questions best they can. Super cheap admission of $2 a person. Nice new Playground right next door to let kids burn off some energy.

Fabulous museum. Every item is expertly displayed and labeled. No musty dusty here,
this museum is well cared for and obviously well loved. There are items here that I have
never seen before.

We did not go in the museum as it was closed when we were wandering around town however there is a great deal of information outside and the grounds are quiet and well cared for. My husband was fascinated by all the old machines on the side of the museum and there is a good general history of the county on bulletin board in from of the museum. Since Bridgeport is super small it is an easy walk from wherever you are staying in town.

They have lots of artifacts from both the Pioneers and the native Americans from the area. The place is packed with old Western guns, tools, newspaper articles. Quite an impressive collective of historical things from this area which is a fascinating part of the USA.

OK, You must stop here this is a great Museum highlighting the history of the Eastern Sierras. You will learn about the pioneers, Indians and towns along the Eastern Sierras.
You will get to learn what it took to make it as a miner and pioneer. The history of the towns and people is rich and touchable.
If you have come this far stop in!

This museum is small but is a notch better than most small town museums because of the amount of neat things they have on display plus the docent was a very knowledgeable local who answered all our questions admirably.

We stop at all the small museums that we run across on our travels and have found something unusual in almost everyone of them like the folding bathtub on display here. Well worth a short visit.
