You can walk around these behemoths and take pictures, walk for over a mile from group to grouping..my favorite is the sabertooth tiger attacking fossil horses.

My son and I hiked to a few and drove to others. My 12 year old loved the sculptures and could appreciate the beauty of the sculptures as well as the detail that went into these creations.

Who was/are the sculptors? So far I've not seen one word about him/her/them. A breathtaking deficiency on the sites realted to Galleta Meadows. What is the story behind the concept of the sculptures and how, where and when they were constructed?
