This was an easy hike with awesome ocean views. Enjoyed seeing wild flowers and herons catching gophers. That was a first.

We stopped here with kids and walked along the path on the ridge. There was at least one grey whale that surfaced often and was close to shore in June. The kids loved it.

Absolutely amazing views from atop the cliffs. Wonderful long trail to walk. Gorgeous from every view. I could not get enough of it. We walked down the steep trail to the beach which was a little tricky, but sooo worth it.Even though the parking lot...More

We saw the bay first and the calm water there so it was a surprise when we saw the big waves and felt the wind. Wonderful views of the rocky shoreline.

You are high up looking down at the water as it breaks on the shore. There's a wonderful hiking trail, but there are also wonderful views from the parking lot. Picnic areas, too.

Lovely place to walk along the cliffs and enjoy views of Bodega Bay and the Pacific. We did not see whales but saw a deer, wildflowers, and lots of gophers scampering around their holes --which are everywhere!

Not the best time of year, but a marvellous place with a stunning coastline, really good fish restaurants and some terrific accommodation available. Golf, beaches, kayaking, stand-ups, walking, horse-riding at Chanslor Ranch.....

Lovely easy walk/drive with stunning views and wild flowers. Can't say enough about the views. The short walk was a nice break in the mostly driving tour. The Visitors center was super and helped us plan a great day that included viewing sea lions.

Well worth visiting this spectacular stretch of the Sonoma Coast. You can walk right along the cliff tops admiring the crashing waves of the Pacific and often seeing humpback whales migrating between Mexico and Alaska. Cannot recommend this highly enough if you love wonderful scenery.

I did not take a dog that day and so did not look. In earlier times the dog was allowed on a leash. I think the trails are rather delicate now and much of the vegetation at the lower levels has blown away.

The parking lot has a few holes. But the viewing areas there are pretty easy and safe. There are trails on the hillside that power or beach wheel chairs could move on. But the view from the parking lot are real good.
