I love City Beach, its always clean and has great facilities. The sand is beautiful but the surf can be quite rough with big dumping waves so one needs to be aware of that when swimming.

I love this beach. Even thou it's on the same coast and close to Cottesloe n scarbs. It has a unique feel. I like sand here. Fine white sand Superb

Really enjoy Clancy's, being able to smell and watch the ocean. Have only had a nice meal and good service.

Great beach , though it has got strong " dumping " surf , the surf club is being redeveloped ( completely demolished ) so the place is a bit of a building site at the moment , Clancy's is a great spot for a sundowner...More

The City Beach in Perth is the smaller of the three main beaches that most travellers enjoy visiting. Here, you'll often find more locals wanting to enjoy a quieter afternoon. It also lacks the facilities that Cottesloe and Scarborough Beaches have. There are no restaurants...More

I'm not a beach person but while living in Perth, I didn't mind going to this beach. It has nice grassy and tree areas right on the beach for those like me who hate the sand. The water was always a good temp and clear....More

This beach is more suitable for the quick visit before the "Freo Doctor" has arrived, plenty of sand and grassed areas so as not to be too crowded. Just go and enjoy one of the alternative best beaches.

Never had to catch a bus however I estimate 30+minutes traffic permitting. Try Uber or taxi 15 mins out of peak times.

Hi, I got this information from someone who lives in Fremantle. No, I don't think any camping is permitted on any Perth beaches unfortunately. I don't even know of any caravan/camping parks that are nearby to city beach... More
