Great place to hike!

Not too many spaces to park. We had to park about 1/2 a mile down the road. This is an easy hike depending on how far you go. Family and Dog friendly hike.

We enjoyed a hike in the little lakes valley trail. For the minimal effort you will be treated to a series of beautiful lakes on a relatively flat trail. This hike is the best we've done in the area.

Started at Mosquito Flat and hiked to the top of Mono Pass. Great views and definitely got my heart rate up.

The scenery is heavenly. The hike between each lake is short so you're constantly seeing different lake views with mountain backdrops. It never gets old. Highly recommended!!!

This trail is so spectacular, I never tire of it. Each lake you come upon is prettier than the last and the closer you get to the end of the valley the more stunning the views. This year with snow still on the ground and above it was especially beautiful. Excellent trout fishing and the best hikes anywhere. God's country!!

Wonderful hike to see streams, lakes, wild flowers, and rocks! Few hikes in the Sierras offer such incredible views for so little effort. Stop at Heart Lake if kids are hungry or tired.

My dad is an avid backpacker/hiker/camper and has hiked this trail many times. He took my uncle and me with him this time. We hiked from the parking lot at the trailhead to Long Lake and back, approximately 4.5 miles with 800 feet of elevation gain. There are lots of stone steps and loose rocks on this trail, so you... 2nd time on this trail. Some day I'll make it to Gem Lake and back. But even if you only hike for 1 hour in and turn around, it's a beauty.

This relatively-easy hike provides truly beautiful views of mountains and lakes with very little effort. The trail starts at one of the highest trailheads in the Sierras (~10,000') so you get to near-treeline conditions quickly. You can hike the 6 miles (round trip) to Morgan Pass at the end of the valley or you can stop at the first lake.... More
