So much more than just a railroad museum, but the reason it is here is because of the Carson & Colorado railway. This museum is free but donations are gladly accepted. The “centerpiece” is the old SP #9 along with a few rolling stock that...More

This is a wonderful museum comprised of authentic old buildings, trains and items that were part of the narrow gauge railroad that used to run from Nevada to just south of the Bishop area. It is fun for kids of all ages to explore.

At first look it's no big deal. Once you get there it's amazing in the number and variety of exhibits and train cars on display. It seems to go on forever ( in a good way) a hidden gem

As a former resident of Bishop, it was truly a walk thru time. Personally knew many of the people in the photos, etc. Wonderful collection of historical items. The train was a great too. Highly recommend visiting.
