We went twice - did the tour of the workshops second time - very informative - polite and friendly explanations and demonstrations by craftsmen for whom this is clearly a work of love as well as a living. Excellent scarfs in the shop including a "discount" rail that tempted us again and again!

On our coach to cliffs of Moher we made a quick stop here, maybe 30 minutes. I found the best Irish souvenirs here and a better price than anywhere else so far. There’s a restaurant upstairs. Customer service was quick and helpful and I walked out with quite a haul. Perfect. Bunratty Castle just a few steps away but we didn’t have time for that.

Great place to visit. Owner is very entertaining and could talk for ireland. Really loved seeing the place. Bought some great presents.

Went into the shop across the road assuming it all belonged to the mills. This is owned by a completly different person. So make sure you go into the right shop!

We stopped in to visit the shop and were treated to a very informative and funny tour of the weaving room and also the knitting room. Wonderful people and gorgeous items for sale.

Amazing insight into an industry that is so removed from our everyday life (in a way!) Beautifully designed items for safe and lovingly made by a family run business. It’s so good to see this in the West!

This is a great stop on the way to or from Shannon. A business started by Eugene and Anke McKernan, we stopped by and were greeted by both of them and given a tour.
It's in the middle of the small village of Tuamgraney, and have recently acquired a property across the street to add to the original building. Also across the street and next to their new building is a small car park and a cafe and shop that sells a range of local crafts. The McKernans recommend calling in advance so they can be sure that everything is up an running when you arrive, but even if you don't do that, you will get a warm welcome.

We stopped by as it is close to where we were seeing. Pleasant surprise to be given a full tour of their mill!!! Truly friendly staff and answered all of our son's technical questions on their machines. A pleasure to purchase a scarf made there!

Called in while passing. Staff member we were talking to was very helpful & explained the different ways their products were made.
We were offered a chance to see a loom working but unfortunately we did not have the time. Well worth a visit, beautiful range of scarves.

We visited the small production shop and were amazed how much is woven and knit here - producing both woven and knitted scarves. Being a home weaver, I was most interested in seeing their weaving area. The industrial type equipment they use for the woven items is quite unique - and very old (with a few modern additions) - something worth seeing.

They gave our small group a tour (planned ahead of time) of their facilities - I especially enjoyed see how the warp is wound for the color-variated grade scarves.

The staff is quite friendly and shared all their processes of making scarves. McKernan scarves are available in many shops (as I discovered touring around Ireland - and online I notice that they also supply locations throughout the world) so it excited me that I now visited the place where the scarves are made!

They have a small shop attached to their production facility (and a small selection of reduced priced seconds - seconds mainly because they aren't full spec length). Well worth the visit.
