A very satisfying experience for our mother/daughter spa time and pedi. I especially love the deluge which is a unique way to get an incredible water massage. We are consistently treated like special guests and appreciate the polish and upgrades since Fairmont took over.

Celebrating birthdays with girlfriends at the Claremont Spa. We arrived early to relax in the lounge. Each of us had a relaxing lengthy spa treatment. Then we enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. A nice way to spend the afternoon. Very peaceful and relaxing. The individual spa rooms are quiet.

We stayed at the Claremont for 3 nights at the outset of our two week holiday in California and it was the perfect way to start our vacation. The Hotel is one of the most stylish and elegant hotels I have ever stayed in with breathtaking art work and modern decoration. The surrounding greenery and trees made a perfect backdrop... More

There was no one to greet you at the entry, not any signs with directions on where the spa/registration desk was located. The staff at the desk in the spa weren't clear in their directions as to how to deal with parking details of cost, time. The quiet room awaiting your treatment would have been much more relaxing had their... More

Service is fantastic. Food very good - albeit expensive. Room on 8th floor - no view and smelled a little stale...it is an old hotel. The room was very comfortable - huge bathroom. But the smell was always there.

We checked in on July 3rd. We already paid for a room with a Bay view (we really wanted the view and paid more). When we arrived around 4:00 pm we were told our room was not ready. We waited about an hour and we were told that they did not have a Bay view room available. The woman at... More

If you want a great rub-down, elegant surroundings, and pleasant staff, there is no better than the Spa at the Claremont. My wife and I enjoy it exceedingly. Relaxing, stress-reducing, with wonderful aromas.

I have stayed here before and it was nice, now that Fairmont hotels is running it, I think there has been considerable improvement. The improvements are obvious and the staff seem even friendlier that in the past. If this is an example of the changes I am looking forward to another stay. Very impressive

The Claremont has been completely updated by Fairmont and is once again a beautiful, luxurious resort. It is located in the hills of Berkeley and the staff is quite professional, yet friendly. We had a terrific room with a view of the bay- a wonderful way to begin and end the day. We have stayed at less expensive hotels in... More

This is one of those great old (but modernized and very well maintained) hotels similar to the Del Coronado in San Diego, etc. It was purchased a few years ago by some key San Francisco people and also became part of the Fairmont Hotel brand. But it has retained all of its wonderful and distinctive elements. Excellent for business conferences... More
