This is a wonderful world of natural things- not just bones! They used to have a large snake in the back. Not sure it's still there.

Love love LOVE this place, I could spend all day here if you let me. Glad it will still be online but there's nothing like going through everything and touching it all.

I loved this store! Very cool stuff, very interesting offerings. I bought my daughter a cool keychain with a bug in lucite. I considered purchasing one of the framed skulls, but will go back another time. Well worth a visit!

As a search and rescue specialist, I very much appreciate The Bone Room's long support of compiling bone packages for us to train our cadaver/human remains detection dogs. I have been a long time customer (more than decade plus), and try to come by any time I'm in the Bay Area. Recently, a young coworker from Ghana who had never... More

I stopped by and was automatically in love with all of the objects in the Bone Room. The lady up front was really helpful when I had questions. I ended up buying a taxidermy baby chick. You know, Easter is coming up. This is definitely on my list of places to go in Berkeley.

It was my wife who took me into the Bone Room, saying she wishes she had known about it as a child. There are two stores next to each other, the first packed with taxidermy (lambs, birds, mouse deer, everything), fossils, bones, skeletons, and oddities because., one imagines, they arrived there by accident. The second store is like a gallery of... More

I come here every time I visit the bay area. Tons of neat stuff for the nature buff, artist, or teacher. My girls love to come and get feathers and funky jewelry, I love the presentations and lectures, and I always seem to bring a new skull back to my classroom every time I visit!

Fabulous place to bring kids or anyone interested in the natural world. You can buy skeletons or taxidermied specimens, view beetles & many other insects from all over the world. There's a gallery of natural & artistic interest attached.

This is a MUST place to visit. There are so many interesting bones of animals, fossils, framed insects, and there are also some cool gifts to be bought. It is right across the VCA Animal hospital, and when I take my pet there, I make sure to visit the Bone room or even when I am in the general area... More
