Hiking in Tilden is awesome! I've enjoy the many trails for years. I'm no longer in the area but I visit there every chance I get.

Title says it all really. this place has everything. The visitor center is a good place to start. despite the helpful member of staff, my husband and I still managed to get lost and ended up at Inspiration Point (where no buses run!) instead of out front by the visitors center where we got off the bus. Never mind -... More

This is an Oakland treasure. This park offers so much including great views, great trails, Lake Anza, steam train rides, and more. Not to be missed if you're in the area.

This place was A LOT bigger than I expected. The trails and views were outstanding. The twisty rods were cool as well.

Hiking, swimming, golfing, wedding events, and more in Tilden Park. We hosted two catered events at the Brazilian Room for 100 people this year and they were exceptional.

The best place to hike in the East Bay. Get a good trail map. Warning...some of the trails become mud pits after rain.

We were together for Thanksgiving - grandparents, parents and grandkids....3 generations with a large range of mobility and energy expenditure needs. We needed to get some exercise and sunshine. This approx. 2 mile hike provided everyone with what they needed. Vistas of the Bay, and of Mt. Diablo did not disappoint either. A bit muddy at places prompted hand-holding and... More

Tilden is a gem for Berkeley. What an amazing park. We have already hiked here twice and look forward to hike again and try new trails. Easily accessible during the week with bus nr 65 and weekends with bus nr 67 from Berkeley downtown up to the park. So far we have done the Meadows trail which offered beautiful terrain... More

Type of visit: parents visiting adult son who works in San Fran. Beautiful park, great hike, wonderful view of bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Steep climb.
