Fire Memories Museum is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit in California and has been since 1998. The mission is "to maintain properly, the art and artifacts of the collection, to preserve the history and heritage of firefighting, to serve as a memorial to those who have dedicated their lives to the fire and emergency services and to educate the public in fire safety and prevention". Within the museum there is an education center,a "hands on learning and exploring" area where children and adults can experience the historical apparatus and equipment that brings a sense of pride to this career. Fire Memories Museum was created to celebrate the history of firefighting and it contains more than two-thousand, two-hundred (2200) historical fire related and/or memorabilia items. Some items date back to the 1700’s.

My 11 year old loved it.

Took my boy there for a fun day he got to sit in an old fashioned wagon the employees there were very friendly and helpful and informational they even gave my son an extra free pass when we were leaving to come back.

Closed Permanently

Unfortunately this great museum will no longer be open due to a lack of funds. It was dedicated to the fire service for the great work they provide in our communities.

Great little museum!

This place is small but amazing. The guy at the front gave us a personal tour. We spent over an hour on a tour that was both interesting and informative. If you are not interested in a tour, you are also free to just roam...More

Great place to tour.

Stop on by for a tour. Everyone there are volunteers and likes to show you around. They have fundraisers (pancake breakfast) in the spring and fall. Yum.

Bad rating only because it's not open!

I can't give it a rating because it's only open a few days a week! Hello! If you want tourists to visit your city and museum, it's got to be open!

Fantastic

Went by to see what it was and it is FANTASTIC. If you want to know about fire engines, firefighters, equipment and history GO TO THIS MUSEUM. The building is a firehouse and has lots of rooms of exhibits, fire trucks, hand pumpers, bottles, uniforms,...More

Excellent displays

Excellent things to view for adults and children. Lots of great history. The kids can climb on the old engines. Great interaction for everyone.

Excellent display of antique fire trucks

If you like old fire equipment and trucks this is the place to go. A pleasant surprise in such a small town.

Amazing collection of historical fire memoribilia, wander around or enjoy a great tour
