Strathyre War Memorial
Sep 2021
This monument stands in tribute to the men from the district of Strathyre who laid down their lives in the First/Second World Wars. As it’s common in this part of Scotland, the monument is in the shape of a cairn with a stone plaque engraved with the names of those who fell. If you find yourself passing Strathyre and want to see the memorial, then it can be found on a low hill behind old Strathyre Church. The church is now a private house, but there's a path directly that takes you behind the church and up a small hill where the monument is located.
