Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ohmygosh, did we have fun! We had do idea what to expect. We came to jump, and jump we did! They have jumps set up around the very large property, so there was much variety. We worked (hard) on our step downs and ups, and were glad for the instruction provided. It was just the two of us (how lucky were we!), but at no time did we feel pushed to take a jump or do something with which we weren't uncomfortable. Of course, the other side of that coin is that we pushed ourselves and it was fun facing the uncomfortable!

We did not stay at the property; in hindsight, it would have been very nice. The lunch they provided us could have fed an army AND the horses they rode in on, and was very delicious. A German woman who was staying at the lodge said they were feeding her like that three times a day, every day.

We had the same horses each time we rode, and I actually liked that. I'm old, and sometimes trying new horses on new terrain can be a lot of work for me. I'm sure if you wanted different horses each day that could be arranged.

The staff is charming, the dogs darling, and Mark is the kind of man you want to sit with, scotch in hand after dinner, and hear the stories he has to tell.

Everyone that works there does their absolute best to make sure i feel comfortable and welcome and my every need is taken care of. They pick a horse to match you and your riding ability and the horse they think you will have the best time on, i improve my riding every time i go as they have amazing facilities and instructors.

This was our second visit to crossogue and we loved it as much as the first. We only did the morning last time and this year we did the morning and the afternoon with a lovely lunch provided in between by the owners. The guides Jake and Cathy were both great, Jake was very encouraging and boosted everyone's confidence. There are plenty of different jumps to try and the scenery is fabulous. The horses are very well cared for and the instructors know them well so they can give you tips on how to handle them. It was a great day and we can't wait to come back!

My daughter left to improve her English and her horse riding and came back with enormous progress! Everyone was super nice and spoke a lot of English with them. In horse riding, she really enjoyed the cross country course and getting comfortable on horseback. In addition, she has wonderful encounters with other young people her age.
I highly recommend for all people who love nature and horses!

We had a lovely time during our 3 days at Crossogue Equestrian, Co. Tipperary. The staff of this gorgeous estate were so welcoming, the food was delicious and the horses are magnificent. Horses were well-suited to each rider and the instruction from the trainers was outstanding. This was my first time with cross country and it did not disappoint. I honestly cannot wait until my next visit to Crossogue. A must-do for any equestrian.

This was better than I expected and I thought I was going to have a great time. Sophie and Mark are gracious hosts and Sophie is an excellent cook. The house and grounds are beautiful. Then the riding started. I considered myself still a beginner rider but Becki and Noel instilled confidence in me to jump higher than I expected. They are excellent trainers. I would love to go back again.

Crossogue 2014 is bigger and better.
To be met with wonderful warm greeting on arrival from Mark and Sophie is just the start of a fantastic holiday.

I recommend Crossogue for every level of rider. You will leave oozing confidence, ready to take whatever element of riding you do or want to try your hand at.

I can not recommend Crossogue any higher. The house, grounds, people and horses are fantastic. The equine facilities, home cooked food! Comfy beds, relaxing atmosphere, endless walks and tranquil scenery are amazing, everything you can think of for all your needs.

Don't think about it. Book it. You will never regret it.

I had high expectations before I had set off seeing all the good reviews on Trip Advisor, and I was not disappointed. I was wowed.
First and foremost, it was important for me to be able to ride good horses in a beautiful country side. Both were definitely fulfilled. I rode two horses both of which were good-natured and willing, and the scenery was just absolutely stunning.
For the rest: All the wonderful things have been already said here but if I could add something, it is the genuineness of the staff that stood out for me. Noel and Maike are great instructors who take their job seriously (with a great sense of humor). Jen and everyone in the kitchen were so warm and welcoming. Mark was an excellent host who passionately made sure that everyone was happy. Overall, you could feel that the place was run by a team with great collegiality. I can't wait to go back!
