Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Watching the sun set on the Fanad Hills across Lough Swilly it is easy to see what enticed John Newton to write Amazing Grace. The tranquil waters reflecting the golden sunset is a sight to remember. No photograph could do it justice

For me being from Buncrana this is an iconic spot. Having lived abroad for years I used to always say that "you know you're home when you come round the Fahan Lookout". In fact it is nothing more than a end in the road but the view over the Swilly out to the Atlantic is awesome. It is worth a quick 5 minute stop to take in the view and snap a couple of photos. Best times are sunrise and sunset.

Fahan [pronounced fawn] is a small village in Inishowen, Donegal, about 5 kilometers south of Buncrana, and you will find the "Lookout" on the main road, heading north towards Buncrana. It looks out on to Lough Swilly, and on a clear day, it is a beautiful sight. You can't park at the spot, but if you go about 100 meters further, you can park on the hard shoulder and walk back.

There are no signs to direct you to it, but trust me, you'll know it as soon as you see it. You will see a "Welcome to Amazing Grace Country" sign at the spot, which partially blocks the beautiful view!!!! What a place to erect a sign!! Make sure to take your camera.

Although we were here on a cold November day, the views are outstanding. This would make a fabulous back drop for any celebration. Beautiful.

It's a nice place to stop to take in the amazing view of Inishowen. Go down for a stroll along the beach. Even on a miserable day, the view is amazing

Fahan is one of the most likely places I take my dog for a walk. It is a beautiful, peaceful walk with some beautiful sights

As the above . Don't come looking for something spectacular, the view here is one of personal vision. To myself, it is lovely. But do I want to share? No not really.

There are many hidden treasures around here which cannot be found without local guidance, and the locals don't know how good in what they have.

My only clues are to look for Holy wells, railway lines, halts, bridges and stations, geese, local musicians, good food, hundreds of cows crossing the road, mussel collecting, the thatched or un thatched houses depending on the local mood, the bird reserve and an undiscovered shell beach
