Tiryns is not as spectacular as Mycenae - being on the plain rather than a hill-top but it's ground plan is much more oomprehensible.

Tiryns is a site in the same WHS as Mycaenae. It's a hill with fortifications which is another example of the Mycaenian culture. The site is more chilled with less people, but still very interesting.

Lost 8 euros (2 adults) and 1 hour of my precious traveling time. There is nothing inside. No signs, no places to visit. It is more beautiful from outside. Avoid!!!

Nafplio is a stop for most people who visit Mycenae, so if you're a fan of Homer, this is worth a stop. It isn't as extensive as Mycenae but it's worth checking out to check it off your list.
