It's mostly ruins, but still nice, informative and full of history. The view over the port and hills is breathtaking. Certainly the most impressive thing to see on Kythira. Well, after the watermills/waterfalls. :)

A must see when you visit Kythera, stunning views, a real trip into history. Continue with the narrow streets of Hora and take a brake in Hora center, for a coffee!

Beautiful view, easy access, not to miss if you are on this island. Amazing scenery and history combined. Open from 8 am to 8 pm.

This old fortress in Kythira Town is absolutely worth a visit. I would also recommend walking down the path from outside the fortress to the little town of Kapsali (by the sea). The first meters are very step, but afterwards it's a pretty easy hike....More

It was a great place to visit. The view were spectacular, and the site was a photographers paradise. Easy access up a hill and add on a sunny day and you will really enjoy.

Very well preserved castle with excellent view. Do not miss the small churches inside and right outside the castle (Mesa & Exo Vourgou) if they're open.
