I can say this is an educational trip students must visit historical palace must hire a guide for full information, attraction is rock paintings.

This place takes you straight back to 'Pre-history'. Its a must visit for all students, perusing archaeology, history and culture as their subject of study. Its truly a unique place for excursion, with caves and rock paintings.

This mythological place related with panda as and period of the Mahabharat. During their vanvas the Pandavas lives here.Main shelter was built by mahabali Bheem, so it is named Bheembaithika.on the walls Ancient paintings made by natural colors are also we can see here.

bhimbektka caves is on Hoshangabad Highway some 47km from bhopal .A prehistoric era rock painting makes this place a tourist attaraction . bhimbektka caves was included in UNESCO list of heritage site .

Bhimbetka is located around 45 kms from Bhopal on Hoshangabad Highway, It presents prehistoric rock shelters and caves paintings which look as lively as if they were painted recently. Bhimbetka rock shelters and cave paintings are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

It does involve walking but one might see a few wall paintings right at the entrance. So, for taking the elderly to the site go upto the site entrance in a car and after a walk of 2-3 minutes they would be able to see the... More

Its a UNESCO site and hence i would suggest don't plan for a picnic over there at least near to the site
