Firstly I enjoyed the drive to this place - a bit further afield than other temples I'd visited the day before and through lots of nice countryside. Stock up on drinks at one of the numerous stalls at the bottom. The climb up to the top was hard work in the heat, climbing 575 steps, but it was fun saying... More

Early morning or evening is the right time to visit this temple. Its located other side of the river, need to cross the bridge to reach it by vehicle(23 kms from Hampi bazaar). Good place to see sunrise and sunset, Need to climb around 500 plus steps to reach, the top. it offers good view of the town and can... More

It's a long walk up... Some 575 steps but it's doable and not so tough. Definitely carry a bottle of water and you can refill it when you get to the top. Keep climbing keep climbing don't give up. Then there's this place where you need to Crouch under a big rock and climb up.. I love such adventurous places.... More

We need to climb around 800 steps to reach the temple. The view during the climb is nice and we can watch the sunset from the hill. Nothing great to write about the hill except for the mythological context.

545 stairs to the top of the staircase - don't do it during mid day. Great 360 view of the whole area - that is worth the effort - the temple itself is not

So many steps (575) but worth it for the view! We climbed at around 11am and was getting to hot part of the day so was very very hot. Make sure you time it well and take water with you. Climb only took 15-20 mins. Meant to be amazing for sunset also.

575 steps and an amazing view at the top. Pujas may go on in the Temple and monkeys are many as they are fed and welcomed.

A 650 steps take you to the birth place of Hanuman. This place is historical and a session with a local sadhu who has an ashram enroute will enlighten you on the history of the place ( How Anjani Devi, mother of Hanuman gave birth to him and how Vayu Devta adopted him and hence Hanuman is also called Pawan...
