Its a beautiful and grand temple with ornate pillars. Great to understand the culture and heritage of the area. Bonus is that you can click amazing photos here.

The Balakrishna Temple is a part of the Krishna Temple Complex in Hampi. It is a beautiful temple complex even though there was work going on as was evidenced by the presence of the scaffolding in the temple.

This temple on way to Virupaksha temple is very beautifully built & is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Outside, there are the remnants of the ancient Kirshna bazaar with all its magnificence & pomp. It is one the 4 most important bazaars of old Hampi along with bazaar at Vitthala temple, Virupaksha temple & Achyutaraya temple. A must halt place in... More

History can be glorious and devastating. The temple once grand and magnificent was trashed to the spoils of war and ego. It is away from the busy life of Hampi, but well worth the rest and quiet. I was one of a few people there in the early morning and loved thinking what life must have been like at a... More

This is a nice temple. They are still working on it, but you see the potential. It also has a nie area opposite to it ... so take a walk there as well. I am not sure too many people make it to the pool / tank.

This is one of very few temples where the stories are carved on the walls of the tower. Opposite of this temple lies Krishna bazar which is in dilapidated state. The temple entrance is undergoing maintenance , Overall neat and quite place..One must visit this place if you are in Hampi

I was so impressed with this World Heritage Site. Exquisite temples and the layout of the site goes on forever. I was only there to see the highlights that could be seen in 5-6 hours with a personal guide. But I was left with memories of a breathtaking nature--- my imagination as an artist was inflamed by the stories the... More

The temple houses the icon of Balkrishna brought from Udayagiri (Odisha) by King Krishnadevaraya. It is dated to 1513 CE. The temple complex is built in Panchayatana style with two enclosures. with the sanctum, a vestibule, pillaried pavilions and halls. In addition, there is a kitchen and a store. The temple walls are carved with depictions of the Bhagvatha, the... More

the temple is very beautiful, although it seems that its falling apart due to past damage and nature. the non-functional Krishna market ruins are just outside the temple. the temple is beautifully carved and worth a visit and spend time exploring.
