We loved our visit here. The walk to the treasury is amazing - you feel so small surrounded by the high walls of rock. Eventually you see the Treasury which is beautiful. We spent the day exploring the place but it's so big we needed another day to see it properly. Well worth visiting!

Wonder of the world is an understatement! Walking through the Siq and seeing the treasury appear was incredible. And the whole lost city is massive. If it's on your bucket list, just go! Jordan was wonderful and totally safe

Petra is incredible! Often we go to famous places and are left with a slight sense of "is that it?" However, Petra is far, far better than you could imagine from all the hundreds of photos you've ever seen. I was in love with the place after just a few minutes walking in the Siq, with its remarkable pink and... More

Wear stout walking shoes, take water and a jacket since it can be very windy in the gully's ,a walking stick is a useful aid. The entrance ticket entitles you to a pony and trap ride down and up or a horse or donkey ride each way but walking let's you see more. It is much bigger than you think... More

Unreal. Take a backpack, and a torch. Don't be afraid to go off the beaten path to find the quiet spots of wonder.

It's indeed a site to visit before you die. My experience says, do take two full days to appreciate this site built by the Nabateans some 2500 years ago. Do visit the site of Petra city where app 45000 people inhabited that time. It's sine 5 kms away.

Visiting Petra has been a dream of mine for awhile.. and to actually visit it was incredible. We visited in November and had perfect weather. We bought the Jordan Pass with a 2 day Petra entry. I can't imagine only spending one day in Petra as the site is huge. The first day, we were the first ones to enter.... More
