The Arkansas Railroad Museum is as impressive as much for its' simplicity as for its' 'grandeur' and the setting is as much as the 'displays'. I have been there many times, frequently with visitors who requested to visit again.

So the first time I went to this amazing museum, I was greeted kindly and as if I were part of the people who volunteered there. I had to do some service hour work for my UALR Speech class and I choose the museum, mostly based on my love for locomotives and whatnot. The two Saturdays I volunteered there were... More

Train engines, cabooses, snow plow & more to see. Free to visit and very interesting. Bring cash for gift shop, if dust Allergies bother you you'll want to take something before you visit. Free and and we'll visit again.

We had an excellent tour provided of these facilities. There are over a dozen engines and railcars. Also ancillary equipment including bicycle driven rail inspection vehicle, telegraph equipment, signs, schedule books, photos, tie date pins, etc. All are housed in a large building that was the manufacturing facility for railroad engines. A great site for a rainy day tour!

What a great way to spend some time. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff (all volunteers) and you can get 'hands on' with the exhibits. Brilliant

There are some really interesting exhibits and several engines. Totally more than I expected. If you have the time this Museum is worth the trip.
