This is a very interesting place to visit. Nice shops with friendly people. It's fun to walk through and see the old-time crafts. The music shows during the day in the craft village and at night in the auditorium are good entertainment and a great value. The craft village takes about a 1/2 day to 3/4 day to see everything... We were here for a weekend in May. The representative artists and craftmakers are knowledgeable, very friendly, and totally authentic. Their wares were for sale in gift shop and in the individual artists cabins. Beautiful work! Saw exquisite jewelry, quilts, brooms, copper jewelry, and more. We saw a concert here as well and it was great a value! We had... More

Not bad, but basically a bunch of small craft shops with items for sale. I had expected more on-site craftworking and less 'sales orientation'.

A very nice park to enjoy a few hours. I enjoy the blue grass musicians; my Wife enjoys Linda's home made lye soap. (We have used this soap exclusively over the past +5 years.)

I first visited the Ozark Folk Center 10 years ago & was eager to come back again. It is a great learning experience interacting with the artists & craftpersons. I stayed in Mountain View last time, but this time I was in the comfortable cabins onsite, so convenient to the restaurant & the evening musical performance .

Unless you are very interested in this type of thing, you will be done in a couple of hours. Very interesting artist that want to talk to you and explain their craft. Have lunch at Anglers, and then do the cave and springs.

This is a beautiful park to visit but make sure you go between Tuesday and Saturday or you will miss out on all the additional activities. They have lodging available in park (some pet friendly/fees do apply), activity center, gardens, nature trails, a restaurant (The Skillet), folk center, nightly performances from local artist and much more. Our next visit to... More

This is a well-done and attractive group of artists demonstrating old-time arts and crafts. They dress in period clothes and use materials and machinery that was used during pioneer days. One of the most interesting features (to me) was the Print Shop which featured a number of genuinie working antiques printing press, commercial paper cuttint & handling equipment and even... More
