This beach is nice because going for the water to shops or to get something to eat is easy since everything is close. Plenty of shops to buy things although the vendors can be a little annoying when they try and get you to buy from them.

This was a fantastic experience spending the day off the carnival magic going to Sosua. To get to this beach take a taxi with fixed fares from the port took about 45 mins if you don't stop to sightsee. The white sand beach is beautiful and calm where you can experience great snorkeling further out. We had the best meal... More

The beach is not very impressive, it's dirty. the annoying are sellers and restaurant staff . The sun beds costs from 3 to 20 dollars with umbrella, negotiate the price. Be careful if you decide to eat, we ordered seafood platter for 50 dollars for two and they brought paella , same could have had in our hotel for free.... More

Beach area is beautiful with soft sand . Many vendors working with the bars to rent lounge chairs . The people selling things tend to be annoying after awhile , but I understand too that they are just trying to make a living. Some of the washrooms are "rustic" compared to Canadian standards (LOL).

When heading to Sosua Beach, a very active beach. If you are looking for kool spot to lounge, enjoy some fantastic food that won't break your beach bank, beautiful sandy area w/ sun and shade, check out #140, ask 4 PrecherMan, that is what I call him remember #140

The water was so clear and warm, nothing but sand to walk on and the waves were great! After a swim, you can check out the beach vendors for interesting items.

I had a great time at the beach. I walked from one end of the beach to the other end. There are restrooms on the beach, but the price to use the restroom is 20 pesos. I went to the restroom that is nearest vendor booth 3, and I was disappointed because this restroom did not have any running water... More

A tree lined smallish beach with clear calm water, this has a Dominican flavor. Lots of locals and a number of die hard Sosua fans from Europe and the US. Great seafood in all the restaurant shacks, this is a slice of Caribbean life vs modern tourist carnage. Relax all day under the trees. This is also the scuba dive... More

I loved experiencing the local flavor of the beach. On Sunday it was crowded but fun and on Monday the beach was ours. The water was so enticing, the fish colorful and the shops entertaining.

The most beautiful beach of the north side! Clear water and a lot of flying butterflies all around. Peculiar little restaurants and fresh fruit everywhere...a place to go!
