If you are staying in Tuxtla upon your arrival...pass by the plaza de la marimba before you take dinner, an option could be pinchanchas, not for the food but for the dances and decorations.

If you want to spend some time listening to some live music it's perfect. Also if you just wanna hand around and have something to drink around. It's better if you go in the noon when the live music is being play. Great environment.

Very likely on a friday evening; lots of people dancing in the square and there are tons of restaurants and fast food places circling the place so you can people watch while you eat.
