This should be one of the top attractions in asia. The temples are amazing but you have to be up before sunrise to make the most of the scenery. We spent 3 days there are it was about right.

One of the amazing sites of the world that can not be captured in a few photos. The history of this place adds enormously to the fascination and there is just so much to learn.

There are well over 2000 temples so the choice is staggering. Hire a guide to see the best. There are bike and electric scooter rentals everywhere if you want to go alone. Very hot cycling though. Lots of repair work going on, so many domes are covered in bamboo scaffold or covered completely. We were on a Pandaw river boat... More

As part of our Avalon River cruise, we did a sunrise and sunset tour of the temples. We climbed up two different temples. It was breathe taking!

How could you give it anything but five stars!!! We only really saw only about 8 of the pagodas but it was enough. Spetacular sunsets. This is something that can only be seen in Bagan and nowhere else. Aside from inley lake, the best thing we saw in Myanmar.

What an amazing place. We hired bikes for the day which was a great way to see the area. Also had an afternoon on a horse and cart, if you are a horse lover best avoid this one though. There is also a large pink museum which was also worth a visit. Nothing as large as Cambodia but fab all... More

This is a very very special place - that fortunately remains rural and authentic. 2200+ temples mean you can get overwhelmed and "templed out" - but keep going, around the corner you will find some spectacular temples. Those that you can walk/climb to the top are worth the effort as the views are amazing.

I'm in love with Myanmar: landscapes, history, people, all of them are fantastic! Among my preferred places, Bagan. Literally tons of beautiful pagodas, it seems to jump in the past, 1000 years before. The earthquake luckily did not many damages. A must see place!

No visit to Myanmar is complete without visiting the 3000+ temples in Bagan. And if you want to see them all, how better to do it than by air!

Whilst there is no single feat like the enormous Angkor Wat as in Siem Reap, the beauty of Bagon is the vast stretch of temples scattered across the plain means you can easily find yourself finding a little temple to yourself to explore in peace. Only those temples famous for sunset/ rise views are busy albeit I would pause to... More
