We definitely recommend you to visit Rantepao with a guide. So many places you visit have such a long history and are closely linked to cultural habits - without any explanation a lot of questions would remain. We can totally recommend Yuspan as a guide!...More

We visited Toraja in may 2018 for 3 full days and were lucky enough to have found Yuspan as a guide. For this region, a truly Torajan guide is highly recommended in order to truly understand the culture. Not only does Yuspan meet this requirement,...More

I saw people in Toraja could live in different way, but somehow it works. I think it is a place where you could re-think about your own life and understand more about local wisdom.

Rantepao is the main city of North Toraja. It's a small modest city with Torajan's interesting and beautiful culture. The weather in Rantepao is mild during morning and night and very hot during mid day. Rantepao is also the home of many Toraja's destinations like...More

Drove from the capital to Toraja - took around 6-7 hours. Fly in is maybe possible now, but was not an option 1 yr ago. The air strip is present but as far as understood not actively used.
