Best view of trichy

It opens at 6AM . We can see Trichy very clearly and the river Kaveri . If climate is clear , we can see srirangam temple from here .

Best place to see sunrise or sunset. Get a very nice view of the city. Bring your camera for great photos. In the evening and weekend it's packed.

Rockfort was one of the best viewpoints I've ever been to. It had many holy temples inside and you felt so energized climbing the stairs instead of feeling the tiredness. I would recommend all backpackers to visit this holy place :-D

To climb up the stairs carved from the rock is a wonder. It is Mesmerizing. When you eventually get up to Ganesha, you feel in a different world...the cool breeze and the enchanting sight of Lord Ganesha,....a wonderful view of the city from the top. An amazing work of art this temple

We loved everything about this. It was super interesting. We thought it would be a walk up some outside stairs with nothing to see but it was mostly covered with shrines along the way. You're out of the hot sun for most of it. The views from the top are amazing. A must visit.

Rock Fort Temple is situated on a hill, about 250 feet height. It has steep steps to climb. On the way to the Rock Fort Temple, there is a Siva Temple by name Lord Thaimanaswamy. Further, a few steps away, we found the Rock Fort Temple. Lord Ganesha, at the Fort Temple is called as "Uchhi Pilliar". Legends say that... More

A total of 417 steps to the top temple. For those who would like to take pictures... More
