This is a great place to see a traditional Luo homestead and learn some of the culture of the Luo people. We found the homestead one of the best parts of the museum. The main buildings need some maintenance and many exhibits in the buildings...More

It was a mixture of culture of Luo people and the huts they stayed in. There was traditional dance group called The African Genre Shield. There was a little aquarium, snake park and zoo. Nice place to stop by in Kisumu.

This museum is a mixture of pictorial, various artifacts and actual rebuilt structures depicting the old way of life of the Dholuo people located on the shores of Africa’s biggest lake lake Victoria

We had a tour of the museum when in Kisumu and enjoyed the experience. The tour lasted about 2 hours, and covered some traditional aspects of Kenyan society mixed in with some animals. It is not an interactive museum with lots of bells and whistles,...More

Fabulous day don't miss this. It is so much more than expected such as traditional dancers snakes artifacts and educational opportunities even a traditional village. The guides really know the history

A museum rich of Luo cultural facilities and documentary.The snake!!! OMG!!amazing though and environment is so cool and conducive for a cool visit, with friends and family. I enjoyed the visit

Its small clasic african muzeum. Its interesting from history. Its with snake area and croccodile. Inside is small park for rest. Commission for Europien KN 400,- for east africanien 300,-. Included privat guide.
