The food is great- its a buffet of the traditional dishes. Everything is fresh! The steps are abit steep, after a full belly and a couple wines - I had to stop and rest on the way back up. If you have elderly people or people that cannot do the mini hike, they also provide a truck that can take... More

We enjoyed our evening at Oholei Beach Resort, it was a very authentic cultural experience without the razzle dazzle of other islands. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the cave setting is magical. It is a very good opportunity to try many local dishes.

We went as a group to this event. The wait staff were excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly! The dinner itself was lovely. A nice mixture of food to try. The show was also good with fire dancing and nice to see Tongan culture as it's very different to other parts of the pacific. Overall a good night. Only downside was that... More

Don't miss the show at this attraction. Especially the fire dance inside the cavern. The owners go above and beyond to create an atmosphere of great entertainment, food, drink and information about Tongan culture. Steep descent to get down to the beach from the parking area so not recommended for wheelchair or disabled visitors.

I hope i got the spelling right for Simana Kana, apologies if not correct. The place is in a magical location to begin with. It is a bit of a drive from the town centre but is well worth it, a restaurant right on the beach complete with sandy floor. The feast was amazing, all cooked in the sand at... More

From the food to the cultural performance everything was incredible. We really enjoyed the owner who hosted the evening of music/dinner and show. He was proud of his family and staff and an important leader in his community. Don't miss this when you are in Tonga. Great value for a small price.

We had been meaning to visit Ohelei Hina Cave buffet and show our last 3 trips here and this time we managed to make it happen. The setting/location is amazing, the food tasty and plentiful but it was the performance set in the ancient cave that really sets this place apart. Check it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

I'll start this review by prefacing that I got wicked drunk on Tongan cocktails, which might have tainted my review. I had a great night! We were too late for transfers there, so caught a taxi (a horrifying experience, but unrelated to this review). The ambiance in the resort is lovely, sand floor, cave surrounding, thatched roof. The seats were... More

I have been to other shows like this in other places (Thailand/Hawai'i) but for some reason this one has topped them. Tongan cultural food followed by a show with cultural dancing and stories of Tonga's history made for a great night. That it all happened off the beach in a cave made it all the more special! Food was served... More
