Due to the abundant rains the area had earlier, the area was still quit wet when we visited (end of May). This did limit the grounds we could cover in our game drives. Also, for some animals it was still a little too wet. Having...More

A african real bush experience, not sanitised like other African national parks. Expect mud, water crossings and deep sand roads throughout. The concentration of game was slightly diluted due to heavy rains, meaning some areas are still inaccessible but still like nothing else. Take your...More

I loved Botswana and the entire Okavango Delta! We stayed at the Belmond property there and were treated to the most wonderful game drives imaginable!

Exactly what you think a safari will be, and then some. This is NOT like driving around a glorified zoo, which I've heard some parks in Africa (particularly Kenya) can be like. This was amazing. So many animals...can get right next to them. Surreal

This was my first visit to Moremi Wildlife Reserve. It was an amazing experience. The beauty of the landscape, the vast number of animals, the color of the birds was all breathtaking.

Animals that are not scared of cars and humans. Big herds of everything but Rhino. If you self drive, roads can be tricky in the rainy season or during the flood. Pick a waterhole, sit a day and it and see everything.

I used a local company in Maun, Safaris. They were great with all the above. Mokoro can be done from Maun as well as day trips or budget camping trips to the neighbouring game parks.

I am concerned about the bumpiness of the road as I have an intermittent lower back problem. Should I cancel this trip?

Hi Roz, I'm interested to know if you went in the end and, if you did, how was it for you in this respect? Any tips for making things more comfortable?
