I wouldn't recommend anybody to go out of their way to see Plaza Altamira, but if you're in the area it's worth a look. It's nicely laid out and has a vaguely European feel about it.

This plaza is an iconic place for east Caracas. The commercial area and the centre has moved to this place. Is in the heart of Chacao which is on e of the most secure municipalities in Caracas, very well managed and the police and services are at it's best. This plaza is a must if you visit Caracas.
