La laguna de la restinga This one of the best visits in Margarita. The boat trip is calm and you have time to enjoy the journey and appreciate the landscape. This part of the island is rich in birds and fish and there are thousands of oysters grabbed to the roots of the manglares. This tour includes some excepcional passages... More

This visit was part of a tour through the island, as such it was nice, a short boat trip in the salt lagoon. The water is not clear and you don't see much, some birds and a couple of small red starfishes, we also saw a crab munching on some oysters that grow on the manglares roots and a lot... More

We took the tour boat and we stay at the beach. The beach was spectacular with no service, broken chairs and the offer to eat only fish very expensive and not fresh. They have a lot of Guacuco at the beach, and they don't offer any soup or tostones.

This place is magical and filled with wonders. Get on a boat ride to the shore. Have the locals cook for you. The water is clear and good for snorkeling.

We visited Margarita Island while on a cruise, and La Restinga was the highlight of our whole trip. We took a speed boat through the mangroves. The boat was small, just three of us, and the boat driver. The boat driver stopped at various points to point out the oysters, or to catch water creatures in a jar for us... More

If you're going to go anywhere then go here. The boat owners know the area like the back of their hand and often have had the boat handed down through the family over generations. The boats are pretty fast when they want to be and small enough to get in to the narrow routes amongst the mangroves, there's lots of... More

Our boat trip was wonderful. Very interesting, our guide showed us the oysters clinging to the tree roots in the lagoon and pointed out starfish in the clear waters. He also scooped out a seahorse, popped it in a jar for us to admire and photograph and then released it back into the lagoon - what a highlight to see... More
