We went to this park not knowing what to expect, but this was an awesome park. My husband and I enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness of this park. So much history at each stop. We will most definitely be returning in the spring when everything is green. Well worth the money in our opinion.

Visited Pea Ridge for only about two hours, but really enjoyed the history. The Park Ranger on duty in the visitors center was very helpful. The inside museum was well organized and very informative. The self drive tour around the battle areas was also layed out well and the views are terrific.

Start your visit in the Visitors Center. It has a 25-minute movie, which is very well-done, and then an excellent museum which really helps to explain the battle and its setting in Arkansas. We really enjoyed the exhibits and displays. We then drove the loop and stopped at each overlook and stop. Very interesting. We spent a total of almost... More

The Pea Ridge Battle from 1862 is very well presented and understandable as shown in the park museum. The troop movements are very well shown with two 3D layouts which show the sequence of movements of the troops from both armies. There is also a very good 30 minute film. The park is spacious and has very pleasant scenery and... More

The visitors' center is well-staffed, well-organized and informative. The drive around the battlefield is interesting and educational. Beautiful scenery, as well.

My husband and I spent a couple hours here this afternoon. Lovely fall day. Enjoyed driving through the park, stopping at each site to read the markers and take photographs. Loved the rag dolls in the gift shop for cute gifts. So much history. A must for Civil War enthusiasts.

The battle that saved Missouri for the Union. The Park Service did a nice job depicting the details of the battle via the electric map. Without it, it would have been more difficult for the average person to understand the importance and strategies employed by the generals. The movie also did a good job explaining all the details. There is... More

This park is great for so many things. It's very educational and you can also have a picnic or ride your bike around the park. We love to stop in here for the fall leaves.

My husband and I really enjoy touring historic places. Neither of us had heard of the battle of Pea Ridge before. The 30 minute film orientates you and then you drive around the park stopping at markers and envisioning the battle. It was a little hard to grasp how the battle played out because we were so unfamiliar with it,... More

Traveling through the area and had some time to kill so we decided to stop. I am so glad we did. This is a great place for anyone who loves history or wants to learn more about the civil war. The information center was well worth the time spent. They had a movie, geographic models that a screen explaining the... More
