We caught big Browns and big Rainbows all day long wading the magnificent Malleo River. Drift boats are not allowed on the river and its packed with rising trout but not with people. Is an excellent place to go fishing but only with a good water level which is usually in December! After that is low and several anglers and campers. The best in near the end with Alumine confluence. Good luck!

We spent several days fishing the Malleo. There are several spots for easy wading access, however it can get very deep in parts. Lots of sheep and cows around. A beautiful river with some fat Browns!

Since we were just passing through (not here to fish), there wasn't much to do there. That said, it is pleasant to look at, hear the water running by, take a little stroll, etc.
