We visited in April so were not in season for a tour but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and engaging. They were eager to talk about their cheese, their process and the history of their business. We had many questions which they answered patiently and even let us sample a few cheeses. Delicious! We left with only three... More

We were welcomed by charming people even though we were off season. L'Hercule de Charlevoix 24 months is to die for. The tours were not happening since we were a bit late in the season but we got answers to all our questions. The place is ecologically friendly. They clean all their dirty water with a system with tropical plants.... More

We did not get to see everything as was closed (seasonal). But the shop and the man tending it was interesting.

We took the tour of this site which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and ends with a chese tasting. WOW was it ever worth the effort and money. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality! We all learned sooooo much about the industry and also the history of the area! The mini museum is a... More

Delicious cheese & picturesque setting. I picked up cheese, Bagette and fresh blueberries in their shop and had a Picnic in their lovely setting. Worth a stop, planned or not!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the "laiterie Charlevoix". We arrived just as they experienced a power outage but our super tour guide, Sylvain, continued on. So very interesting. Included degustation so we happily purchased cheese to take home!

On our second visit we took a guided tour with Bob and learned a great deal about the history of the cheese making industry in the region as well as the cheese production. We visited a museum with many interesting artifacts, saw a film about the stages of cheese making, and had a generous tasting of 5 award winning cheeses.... More

If you go in Charlevoix toward Baie St-Paul or La Malbaie, you have to stop for having the cheese curds!!! This is a classic and you cannot miss it. You buy a bag of cheese curds and you go outside in the yard to enjoy it! Always fresh and delicious. I miss it already.

We stopped hère to try out local cheese and the owner gave us a personal visit! He showed his technique and thé type of cows he uses. We did some cheese tasting and even Poppée open a bottle of wine sitting down on one of the numerous picnic tables he set up on his lawn. Vert interesting and pleasant improvised... More

An amazing place to visit, Richard was very welcoming and warm. He gave us cheese samples and spoke to us how they are made it. Also gave tips about camping in baie St Paul. We definitely going to come back. * cheese prices are excellent and lower than Toronto.
