About
For that vintage seaside atmosphere of candy floss and donkey rides, set up your deckchair in the section closest to the town. The Blue Flag beach is never overcrowded and also has trampolines, bouncy castle and pirate ship during the Summer. If you want a quieter space for your picnic and to be closer to the sea, then venture further along the one-mile long promenade perhaps using the land train which runs the length of the promenade.

Lovely Day !
Sep 2021
This was our first visit to Barmouth and we were pleasantly surprised, plenty of parking and not expensive either. Had a lovely walk along the front, then got some fab fish and chips and ate those on the front. Had a wander in the town, and then along the beach. Lots of places to eat, gorgeous views and it was very clean.

Great beach
Sep 2021
It really is a superb beach which curls around from the estuary along the full length of the Town. It has a lovely walkway down it’s full length. It has big sand dunes which add character and the size of the beach gives you an opportunity for privacy.

Got to be one of the best beaches in the UK. Tremendous views all around, very spacious and clean with people from all walks of life.

Great family beach
Aug 2021
Fantastic beach, with exceptionally clean water and dramatic views of the mountains. This is such a great beach for families as the water is shallow and there is so much space, it never seemed crowded at all. There is a large car park opposite the beach; though I'd recommend arriving by around 10.30 to 11.00 to ensure no problem finding a space. Their is a small fairground very close to the beach which has some nice rides for smaller children, a small arcade and loos. The train station is right in the middle of Barmouth and only a few minutes walk from the beach. There are lots of eateries and pubs in the town, though these were quite busy on our visit and we struggled to find somewhere to eat; so perhaps a beach picnic would be a good option.

Fabulous gorgeous place to stay
Aug 2021 • Family
Great views, clean Sandy beach and loved the sand dunes. The sea was clear and shallow for a good way so it made paddling and swimming easy and safe. There are lots of places to eat, a small fair for the children and lots of little shops. There is a great atmosphere to the place and it makes you want to return.

A wide expanse of golden sand
Jun 2021
A wide expanse of dog free golden sand (even when the tide is in) which is ideal for famiiles. Not that far from the town, so there are plenty of places to get refreshments. At the southern end there are some sand dunes (for climbing) and Barmouth Harbour (for interest). There are also toilets at the harbour. Parking is along the promenade or in the main car park.

Nice beach!
Aug 2021 • Couples
We visited barmouth whilst staying locally 10 miles away and decided to have a wander round for a few hours. It is a nice little town but we was surprised at how many shops are not geared up for wheelchair access, we couldn't go in a few places as the doorways were simply not wide enough which is a great shame, we literally could only look through the windows. For a monday afternoon it was a fairly busy place, really hard to find a parking space but did after 20 minutes of looking, if you have a blue badge then you can park for FREE all day! If not then it's £4 for 3 to 4 hours roughly. There is a decent selection of local fish and chip shops, doughnuts, rock shops and ice cream shops etc plus a small fun fair too.
