Have visited the gorge on three or four occasions over the years. You used to have to stop in a lay-by which had toilets and a mobile canteen selling hot drinks. A piper used to play to the visiting public too. The old lay-by is to the north of the new parking area, about a mile or so and as... More

We were last in the area of the gorge in the middle of summer so it was a fascinating experience to see it looking so different in winter - you can see so much more with the leaves off the deciduous trees and the distant mountains with snow-capped peaks were wonderful. The gorge itself is spectacular - an incredibly narrow,... More

Good for a stop off but wasn't there longer than 15 minutes: no where really to walk around aside from the bridge and viewing point. We were the only ones there, but I imagine during the height of the holiday season it may be a nightmare as only 6 people at once can be on the bridge and viewing platform!!!... More

I don't know how many times I have popped down into Corrieshalloch to cross the scary suspension bridge over the years, but it is quite a few. The signage and path maintenance is now better than ever, and the sense of horrible drop into the chasm below just as unnerving. Free and definitely worth the stop.

My three children really enjoyed visiting this gorge especially when crossing it on the wobbly suspension bridge! It was really, really high, but you could still hear the water rushing underneath - quite breath-taking!!

This is a must-see if you are in the area, a short drive from Ullapool. It is quite a steep descent to the gorge bridge from where you get a good view, but if you keep going over the bridge you get an even more spectacular view from a specially built platform. Well worth the descent and subsequent climb back. My... More

Although a number of tourist buses were here and we did a lot of hiking. This was a nice spot to get out and stretch our legs.

Made aware of this attraction from the tourist office in Ullapool. A short drive from Ullapool and parking was easy to find but not a lot if a busy day with visitors. A good walk around and over the suspension bridge to take in the view from the viewing platform.

We visited the gorge as part of a Rabbies tour. There is a large car park (free). Follow the signs and the track down to the gorge. What a sight! The River Droma crashes dramatically over the rocks giving some great photo opportunities from the bridge. If you are lucky you will spot the salmon jumping. There is a sign... More

Beautiful area to walk down and see the falls and scenery. Suspension bridge is rather fun and only 6 at a time are allowed on this bridge. Easy to understand why once you are on it. Falls were spectacular thanks to the amount of rain Scotland was receiving. Only negative were the midges. The annoying little gnats that love to... More
