Brilliant for dog walks

Loved two brilliant walks on the beach- walk along to the end of the beach and along the dunes path and then come back through the woods. Our dog loved it as did we.

Such a lovely cove and almost deserted, we saw sanderlings feeding in their quirky way, chasing the waves in and out.

The beach is clean and it is very nice scenery - we enjoyed our days there and in the summer time the weather is always good in the winter it is very cold but still beautifull

Lovely beach in sheltered bay. Great favourite of dog walkers, horse riders and water sport enthusiasts especially kite surfers. Car parking is £2 per day all year round. Toilet facilities are basic but reasonably clean ( hence the 4 stars). Access other than on foot is limited. Near by Yellowcraigs has better facilities but a more exposed beach. North Berwick... Not many others were on the beach. You could easily spend hours going from one end to the next. Walked to it, so cannot comment about car parking.

We parked in car park and went Dow on to beach. It was fresh well blowing a gale but a great walk. We turned right and headed along the bay. We kept walking till it became rocky and then we joined the path just off the beach walking along till we got to some ruins. Turned right there and followed... More

Very good beach with plenty of free parking. Nice views across the Firth of Forth and we were lucky as the weather was good for December. Hope to visit it again in the summer.

Really beautiful place to stroll and take in the sea air. Up there with some of the beaches further north and really stands out as being stunning. There is a good car park and once you have paid here, the ticket counts for all the beach car parks in East Lothian.

We stumbled across this beach by following the surfers who looked like seals out on the sea. The tide was really high but as it went out the beach was revealed and it was absolutely beautiful.
