Great walk, visitor centre couldn't cope with...visitors. groups of mountain bikers and families wanting cheese toasties brought out to its knees, manager laughed, waitress cried, visitors went hungry for 30 mins plus and then food came out One. Person. At. A. Time. Really, spoiled the day. Take a picnic and use their toilets.

Walking, mountains biking and friendly modern cafe in beautiful location. Two play areas and bug field for kids. What's not to like.

We discovered 7stanes not long after it opened when we were heading to Cairnryan and looking desperately for somewhere to give the dog a good run before the ferry. We have called on the way there and on the way back ever since. We managed to grab a bite to eat both ways this time. The staff were lovely with... More

Visited as we were on holiday with the kids. Took the bikes along & found some fantastic riding suitable for everyone. Did the 3 mile family ride on the morning then mum & the 2 younger ones went orienteering while dad & eldest went off on the harder trails!! Very very muddy but a great day had by all &... More

this was our second time here and had forgotten how good this place is. The trails are well managed and set out great. When we arrived it was raining so decided to have a cuppa in the café and the kind woman in there came over and advised us of some trail diversions due to the windy weather. The trails... More

Soup and a sandwich deal was very welcome after a bracing walk in the forest. The hide close to the car park is great for spotting red squirrels and woodpeckers. The only dIsappointing thing is other people who are too noisy and scare the wildlife away - mostly kids being allowed to thunder about and yell, but also adults without... More

Recently visited here whilst staying at Conifer lodges in Newton Stewart, we visited to let our little girl try out her new bike. Great range of tracks to suit varying experience and scenery doesn't disappoint. My husband then went on to do the Blue trail which he rated highly whilst we played in the swing park and passed a while... More

Visited with toddler and went to the very good play park and helter skelter. Went on a walk round the forest and looked at all the birds feeding from the bird hut lookout. The walk is good for young children as it is flat and paved. There are toilets at the cente and a good cafe which was built recently... More

Been waiting to visit here for a long time. The wildlife hide was wonderful, lovely to see all the birds and squirrels. Vey helpful staff in the café when I had trouble with the parking ticket machine. Thank you. We got a bit lost on one of the walks and we had to ask for some local people for directions.... More
