Quite a quiet peaceful place and something worth seeing and it has a small lake and you could have a picnic at the tables no problem.

Worth the short walk from the centre of Ballachulish to see this old quarry. The excavated part is flooded but the slate walls are quite impressive. There is a short marked walk around the periphery and interesting history of the quarry on site.

Wouldn't have gone out of my way for it, but it's right in the middle of Ballachulish, so if you're staying there, check it out. Great photo op.

Lovely place for a walk - we also spotted 2 dippers a heron and thousands of frogs 🐸🐸 we loved the peaceful area with easy or hard walks - nearby cafe and gift shop was gorgeous and very friendly

 PH49 4JB this is the postcode for the Ballachulish information centre,the slate quarry is directly behind it, just across the road.
