Only a small museum but what a gem. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. A brilliant selection of cars, vans and motorbikes, along with all the paraphernalia. Even if your not into motors it’s still a step back in time.

Now, I do confess to liking a good museum and to find a motor museum hidden up here on Dartmoor was a nice surprise. Whilst nowhere near to the scale of Beaulieu this please has bags of character and an owner with an obvious passion....More

This isn’t your mainstream motor museum like Haynes or Beaulieu, but it still has a great collection crammed into a relatively small area, with some very unusual vehicles. The owner himself was very knowledgeable and informative with lots of great stories to tell about individual...More

What an amazing amount has been tucked into this hidden museum. Two floors of delightful treasures across the history of the motor car and more. There are not just cars but motor bikes, cycles and even toy cars. You can spend ages looking at the...More

We visited her on a wet day and spent a happy hour or so looking at the exhibits. The proprietor was very informative and helpful and made the visit even more enjoyable. Word of warning however - they only accept cash for admission.

We visited this museum as part of a trip to Devon. First of all, it is not an easy place to find as the road to Moretenhampstead is quite narrow and windy in places despite being an A road, also there are no signs to...More

A very impressive personal collection and so much to look at. Despite myself having little knowledge about cars/motorbikes it's still really interesting to see. Two floors of history at £6 per adult is worth the visit.

As a family of three we visited the motor museum on a Friday afternoon. We're not car enthusiasts but we wanted to take our little boy to see some old cars, which he absolutely loved! There is a wonderful collection of cars not to mention...More

There is a wheelchair lift I believe. But sadly there is limited space to get a wheelchair near to all the cars.

No, but there are three cafe's and toilets within sight. Moretonhampstead is very compact. There are also three food pubs also within the town and a few hundred paces.
